Past students' successes, riding bikes and chook training

Our past students' achievements

We love tracking what our ex-students end up doing and one of our ex-parents alerted me to the fact that Emily Marker and Rhiannon Kelly were both recipients in Box Hill Institute’s Awards of the Year for 2020.Emily’s award was for Applied Fashion Design and Technology and they commented on her being a great team player and a talented designer.Rhiannon won an award from the Telstra/YCA Corona Virus Challenge. She developed a prototype app called Study Sync and was invited to present at Telstra’s national conference.Congratulations to them both!

Bike riding at school during lockdown

Always looking for positives in these times, one of the teachers noted that a certain prep had graduated from trainer wheels to just the two wheels during this current lockdown! Bikes and skateboards are the things during breaks and lunches at lockdown. It takes your mind off the fact that you don’t have your usual friends to play with.

Training our new chickens

Sometimes it’s our animals who make good progress. Here are our new chooks passing their “Chook chook” test. They couldn’t be let out to free-range until we were sure they’d come when called. Laura put them through their paces and we let them all out! At least someone gets out of lockdown today!

Have a good week everyone.
