Come and see Village School students in action!
They’re building cubbies, leading and riding horses, cooking, designing, experimenting, singing, and playing with mud, glorious mud!
You’ll also be able to meet our wonderful staff, including classroom teachers, some of our specialist educators, and Principal Tanya Heine.
As always, the teachers will mainly be there to support the students who will be running the show!
But they can also answer your questions about Village School’s unique learning environment and curriculum.
While your kids are exploring the beautiful grounds and getting to know some of the Village School students, you might like to get more information about the innovative programs that make Village School unique, including:
- The whole-school performance, shaped by the students in exciting and sometimes surprising ways!
- Options, where students take a deep-dive into their interests in mixed-age groups.
- Horse riding, which teaches the students responsibility as well as the joy of moving their body.
- Democratic education, where students are supported in taking the lead.
Parents of current students will also be on hand to answer those questions only parents can!
Whether you’re wondering about how the school meets the needs of neurodiverse students, or about what the car park is like at 3.30PM (not that bad, honestly!), Village School parents have the inside story.
Come and visit a school that values outside learning as much as what happens inside.
All types of families and all types of kids are welcome at the Village School Open Day, and in the Village School community.
