Village School Tour
The Village School moved to its present site in 1985. It sits on 10 acres near Brushy Creek in Croydon North (a North Eastern suburb of Melbourne, Australia).
The grounds include buildings for the four class groups as well as a drama room, library, kitchen and offices; enclosing a central courtyard area. Outdoor performances can utilise the paved amphitheatre as well as our new gazebo. Several shaded outdoor play areas allow for a diversity of play experiences. The farm enclosure and paddocks provide a home for the school's animals.
Village School Wetlands Project
The Village School Wetlands Project consists of two ponds created by the school and one billabong created as a result of a Yarra Water creek diversion. The wetlands spans the school and Yarra Water land and includes a walking path for community use. It was developed by the school with community involvement in the early to mid 1990's to encourage wildlife back into the urban fringe area and is used for regular student activities.
New buildings
New buildings are in the process of being constructed. The first building has been completed and work has begun on the next one.
